My approach
to therapy
My approach to therapy is collaborative, culturally sensitive, and grounded in emotional connection and personal strengths. I believe that you are the expert of your own experience. I deeply value and appreciate your perspective, and I strive to create a space where you feel empowered to explore your experiences openly and authentically. I utilize a range of therapeutic approaches, including attachment-based, emotion-focused, strengths-based, mindfulness- based, trauma-informed, and CBT techniques, while employing a social justice, feminist, and systemic framework.
I strive to create a space where you feel safe to explore your experiences, process your emotions, and gain insight into the patterns that shape your life. My role is to help you make sense of your thoughts and behaviors while providing tools to support your self-awareness, executive functioning, and sense of self; so you can build resilience, strengthen your relationships, live more authentically (unmasking!), and move through life with more clarity and self-compassion.
We may be a good fit if…
You're looking for a therapist who is direct, compassionate, and genuinely real with you. Someone who will meet you at your pace, challenge you when it feels right, and bring a little humor to the process, all while honoring your wisdom and intuition along the way.
A therapist who acknowledges the complexities of life, identity, relationships, and the systems we all navigate, and who truly gets cultural context not just as a concept, but as a lived experience. If you're looking for someone to see you as a whole person and walk alongside you through it all, I would be honored to be a part of that journey.
